1. Accounting

    This office is responsible for the accounting and reporting of the Town’s financial transactions. These duties include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Special District Billings.

  2. Assessor

    The Assessor is responsible for determining real property assessments for parcels throughout the Town.

  3. Building Department & Code Enforcement

    The Town of Southeast Building Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Building Code and the Code of the Town of Southeast.

  4. Dog Control Officer

    You can get ahold of the Dog Control Officer through either the Town Clerk's Office or the Sheriff's Department.

  5. Fire & Safety

    This department ensures that required inspections are completed and provides information to residents on how to prevent house fires and other hazards.

  6. Highway Department

    The Highway Superintendent is an elected official who serves a four year term. The Highway Department is responsible for maintenance of Town infrastructure including roads, stormwater systems and public facilities. The Highway Department is located on Palmer Road just outside the Village of Brewster.

  7. Justice Court

    The Town Justices preside over the Town Court and hear cases for matters that occur within the boundaries of the Town of Southeast. The Village of Brewster has a separate Court, at Village Hall, for matters taking place within the Village boundaries.

  8. Parking Permits

    The Parking Administrator is responsible for permits and metered parking at the Southeast Train Station located at 2 Independent Way and the Gold Lot located at 67 Main Street.

  9. Receiver of Taxes

  10. Recreation

    It is the goal of the Recreation Department to provide the residents of Southeast a means to enjoy the benefits of a strong and diversified recreation program through the use of natural resources and the talents of our outstanding personnel.

  11. Refuse District - Recycling

  12. Special Districts

    The Special Districts Department oversees the operation and billing of the Town’s special improvement districts.

  13. Stormwater Management

    The Town of Southeast is located within the New York City Watershed and is, therefore, responsible for managing compliance with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requirements for stormwater management for projects of a certain size to reduce the amount of pollutants entering water bodies within the Town.

  16. Town Supervisor

    The Town Supervisor is an elected official who serves a four-year term. The Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Town and supervises the managers of all Town Departments.
