Accounting Department
|
This office is responsible for the accounting and reporting of the Town’s financial transactions. These duties include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Special District Billings.

Tax Assessor
|
The Assessor is responsible for determining real property assessments for parcels throughout the town
|
|
Building Department
|
It is the responsibility of the Building Department of the Town of Southeast to enforce New York State Building Codes and Regulations and the Local Code of the Town.
|
|
Town Clerk
|
The Town Clerk records all official town documents, keeps an accurate account of all meetings and coordinates elections.
|
|
Code Enforcement
|
The Code Enforcement Officer serves under the administration of the Town Board, but works closely with the Building and Planning departments. Proper enforcement of the Town Code ensures the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the community, and protects the quality of life enjoyed by all.

Fire Inspector
|
New York State requires us to inspect all public use and hazardous occupancies yearly.
All commercial properties are required to have their alarm and sprinkler systems checked every six months.

|
Highway Department
|
The Town of Southeast Highway Department has sixteen full-time employees that provide a full range of services on the town's approximately 84-mile road system.
|
|
Justice Court
|
The Town Justices preside over the Town Court and hear cases for matters that occur within the boundaries of the Town of Southeast.
|
|
Parking Enforcement
|
The Town of Southeast administers metered and permit parking at the Gold Lot located at 67 Main Street, Brewster, NY and the Southeast Train Station Lot located off Independence Way.
|
|
Recreation Department
|
The Town's Recreation Department supervises recreation programs for youth, adults and seniors as well as an active summer camp program. In addition, the department maintains the Town's parks facilities: Henry Wells Park, Markel Memorial Park, Southeast Town Park at Tonetta Lake, and Douglas J. Scolpino Park at Mt. Ebo.

Special Districts Department
|
The Special Districts Department oversees the operation and billing of the Town’s special improvement districts.
|
|
Receiver of Taxes
|
The Tax Receiver collects all current County, Town and School taxes.
|
|
The Town Board
|
The Southeast Town Board, which is comprised of the Supervisor and 4 Councilpersons, holds its meetings and work sessions on Thursday evenings in the Civic Center at 67 Main Street, Brewster, New York. These meetings generally start at 7:30pm.

Architectural Review Board
|
Created in 2000, the ARB is a five member Board established to ensure high standards for the visual environment of the Town. The ARB generally meets the third Tuesday of the month at 67 Main Street. The meetings are open to the public

Historic Sites Commission
|
The Historic Sites Commission consists of seven members appointed for seven-year terms. Meetings are held quarterly and as needed throughout the year.
|

Planning Board
|
The Planning Board consists of seven members appointed by the Town Board. Meetings are held at Town Hall, 1360 Route 22. Planning Board meetings are generally held twice monthly, on the second and fourth Monday of the month. The meetings are open to the public.

Zoning Board of Appeals
|
The ZBA consists of seven members appointed by the Town Board. Meetings are held at the Civic Center, entrance is at rear of the building, through the Gold Parking Lot. ZBA meetings are generally held on the third Monday of the month. The meetings are open to the public.

Tonetta Lake Advisory Committee
|
In 2004, the Town Board created the Tonetta Lake Advisory Committee to assist the Town in preserving and Improving the quality of Lake Tonetta.
|
|
Open Space Advisory Committee
|
The Town Board of the Town of Southeast is forming the Open Space Advisory Committee in order to assist the Town create and implement strategies which will protect undeveloped parcels of land.
|
|
Recreation Committee
|
In January 2007, the Town Board formed the Recreation Committee to determine the feasibility of building a Town Recreation/Senior Center.
