The Southeast industrial Development Agency (SEIDA), created in 1977, was the first IDA in Putnam County. SEIDA has facilitated industrial development bond financing of over $30 million for the acquisition, construction, reconstruction and equipping of major business facilities within the Town of Southeast. Eligible applicants may receive various incentives, including real property tax abatements, to encourage business relocation to, or expansion in, the Town of Southeast. The Agency encourages industrial, manufacturing and commercial facilities so as to advance job opportunities, expand the tax base and foster the general prosperity of Southeast, Putnam County and New York State.
