Meetings
The Southeast Town Board, which is comprised of the Supervisor and 4 Councilmen, holds its meetings and work sessions on Thursday evenings in the Civic Center at 67 Main Street, Brewster, New York. These meetings generally start at 7:30pm. The first and second Thursday of each month are Work Sessions and the third Thursday of the month is the Regular Town Board Meeting. Work sessions are "working sessions" where Town matters are deliberated in an informal setting. At the Regular Meeting the Board will act on local laws, resolutions, and formal town business.

Depending on the number of items before the Board, the fourth and sometimes fifth Thursdays of the month are also work sessions, which are held at the Civic Center or the Town Hall, at One Main Street. An agenda is posted for these meetings, available to the public at Town Hall. The Regular Town Board meeting is televised on RCN Channel 8 several times during the weeks following the meeting. At the end of each Regular Town Board Meeting there is a provision for New Business, at which time any resident in the audience may bring up an item for discussion. Any subject needing a more involved review can be put on a work session agenda.
