The Town of Southeast Planning Board office accepts and processes land use applications as follows:
- subdivision of land, both residential and commercial
- applications for construction, renovation or changes in the use of commercial structures.
In addition, we meet with applicants to assist them with the planning process for future use of a parcel of land, or to discuss where they may wish to locate their business within the Town of Southeast. The Planning Board office also reviews the Zoning regulations with applicants and walks them through the planning review process.

Planning Board meetings are generally held twice monthly, on the second and fourth Monday of the month. The meetings are open to the public. Planning Board members are your neighbors. The Board welcomes and encourages public attendance at meetings and active participation whenever there is a public hearing on a particular project. It is an excellent way for residents of the Town to see how the Planning process works and to understand how their Town is being developed. attendance at meetings gives residents the opportunity to participate in that development process and help plan for the future of the Town.
Planning Board agendas are posted on the Town Hall bulletin board at 1 Main Street, generally by the Wednesday preceding the meeting.
